2008 - 2009 Professional Development

The NCLT seeks to develop lead teachers in the area of NSE during the summer and academic year. The NCLT offers professional development through a series of summer workshops and follow-up activities throughout the school year.

This program offers science teachers opportunities to work with nanoscience researchers, science educators, and learning tool experts in content development and laboratory experiments.

The following topics during the summer and year-round activities will be emphasized:

1. Learning material and curriculum development, implementation, and assessment;
2. Mechanisms for introducing nanoscience in the classroom;
3. Development of leadership skills.
