Nobel Laureate John Mather to give the Thirteenth Annual Memorial Lecture

The Thirteenth Putcha Venkateswarlu Annual Memorial Lecture, will be given by Nobel Laureate Dr. John Mather of NASA GSFC, Greenbelt, MD, USA, on October 1st, 2010. The title of the talk will be "From the Big Bang to Life and the end of the Universe". Dr. Mather shared the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2006 with George Smoot "for their discovery of the blackbody form and anisotropy of the cosmic microwave background radiation".

Is Mathematics = Theoretical Physics?

Professor Ronald E. Mickens, Distinguished Fuller E. Callaway Professor at Clark Atlanta University will present a seminar presented a brief history of the subject and provided (tentative) conclusions regarding the relationship between mathematics and theoretical physics.
