Nobel Laureate David Gross To Give Twelfth Annual Memorial Lecture

The Twelfth Putcha Venkateswarlu Annual Memorial Lecture, will be given by Nobel Laureate Dr. David Gross from University of California Santa Barbara, CA, USA, on November 6th, 2009. The title of the talk will be "The Coming Revolutions in Fundamental Physics". Dr. Gross shared the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2004 with H. David Politzer and Frank Wilczek "for the discovery of asymptotic freedom in the theory of the strong interaction".

CISM Access Grid Seminar

Dr Joel Mozer of the Air Force Research Laboratory and Space Weather Center of Excellence will give a seminar entitled: "Future Directions in Air Force Space Weather Forecasting." This talk will complement the talk we had a year ago from Tom Bogdan on future plans at NOAA. Time: Monday, March 9, at 2:00 PM; Place VMC 137 (Physics Library)
