The REU site at historical Alabama A&M University in
Huntsville, AL., home of NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center and
Redstone Arsenal, will offer undergraduate students the opportunity
to conduct various types of physics research. Our program is
designed especially for juniors and seniors majoring in the STEM
fields: sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematics. During
the 8-week summer program (June - July), each student will work with
physics faculty mentors and graduate students on cutting-edge
experiments. Research findings will be reported, lectures and
mini-courses attended, and
recreational activities enjoyed.
Research areas, examples:
$4000 stipend for eight weeks
$2000 allowance for room, board and transportation
